What We Inspect
At True North Home Inspecttions LLC, we follow the InterNACHI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. We inspect the interior and exterior of residential properties including garages, attached or detached. The systems we inspect are roofing, chimneys, roof structure, and attics. The interior rooms we inspect include bedrooms, bathrooms and bathroom components, kitchen components and appliances. We also examine structural components, heating and central air conditioning, electrical systems, and plumbing systems.
ADDITIONAL INSPECTION SERVICES
After a buyer has made an offer on a home and before closing the sale, this type of inspection occurs. The buyer is able to renegotiate the offer if issues arise during the inspection.
*If the home is furnished during the first walkthrough, we will go back once the home is empty to do another inspection free of charge.
This type of inspection is for New Construction homes. You may not think you should get an inspection with New Construction but it is highly recommended. This inspection can identify issues in the construction of the home, before closing on the home make sure that no corners were cut during the building.
After the initial inspection there might be items that need to be repaired before closing on the home. Once the necessary repairs are made we will come back out free of charge to make sure the repairs were made correctly to protect your investment.
Pre-Listing / Seller’s Inspection
This inspection is for the purpose of providing the seller with upfront, detailed information about the condition of their property. This gives them greater control over what gets repaired and enables them to negotiate a fair and accurate price for their property.
Home Maintenance Inspection
A home-owner can have this done routinely. It ensures that you can catch any repairs or seemingly small problems before they can turn into costly repairs or become possible safety issues.
Radon, an odorless, colorless, tasteless radioactive gas breaks down in soil, rock and water. This test is recommended by the Surgeon General and EPA in all homes due to its harmful cancer-causing effects.
Termites are no friend to homeowners, so before you decide to buy a home, we strongly recommend scheduling a termite inspection. We’ll inspect your home for signs of existing termite damage and current infestations.

Carbon Monoxide Detector
Carbon monoxide gas is a colorless, odorless, tasteless toxic gas that is a by-product of combustion, and potentially lethal. This detects carbon monoxide gas in order to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. This is necessary for homes with at least one fuel-burning appliance or heater, attached garage, or fireplace.
Gas Leak Detector
This identifies natural gas and propane gas leaks in a home. These types of gases are composed of methane and are both widely used in homes in many different devices.
